Brief note on Crafting in 11.0

I've watched a few Let's Play videos of alpha 11.0, and also played a bit myself, and discovered dangerous misunderstanding about how crafted item quality works in this version.

Alpha 11 is out!

Link to the official release page is here.

A patch note distillation will be posted when I've read and sifted the material. If there's as much as the Deranged Talpid has promised, the process could take me 48 hours or more.

Devs tell us what the hell is up with alpha 11

Patch notes 9.3 to 10.4 distilled

In these posts, I'll "distill" the patch notes released by The Fun Pimps, singling out those rather fewer game-mechanical changes that I consider to be noteworthy. In this way, players familiar with older versions get a chance to "catch up" quickly without having to read the mile-long patch notes themselves.
